Rare Cancer Information

Please review the Rare Cancer Alliance Disclaimer Statement before utilizing this area of the website. I am working on this section of the website and this will be a slow process. You can search for your type by using the Disease Info menu selection above or the search box at the upper right of each page. Or visit our Support Forums (listed below) for answers. If you can not find your cancer, please use the contact form to let me know. I will put requested cancer types at the top of my priority list.

In the Disease Info section, I will try to include the following information for each disease:

Name - the names and synonyms used to refer to this cancer.

Define - basic information and specific characteristics.

Risks - risk factors that could predispose a person, including familial links.

Detect - known symptoms and diagnostic that may precede discovery.

Treatments - which ones are normally used to treat, including non-standard.

Stage/Grade - stage or grade considerations included in treatment decisions.

Follow-up - interval and diagnostics tests used.

Mets/Recur - symptoms they may suggest metastasis or recurrence, and treatment options.

Link - if there is further information or support groups for this cancer on our site, you will find it here.
