Rare Cancer Support Forum - Terms of use
The “Rare Cancer Support Forum” is designed to help patients, immediate family members, and personal patient caregivers find support and discuss their rare cancer or tumor, treatments, and institutions or physicians who have treated their cancer.
IMPORTANT:
~ Your registration requires you to submit information on your registration that explains a little about your cancer journey thus far. This is kept strictly confidential. If you are not willing to do this, please do not access and/or use “Rare Cancer Support Forum”. Allow 24 - 48 hours for account activation, after registering.
~ Make sure that rare-cancer.org is entered in your list of “friendly or acceptable” email senders.
By accessing the “Rare Cancer Support Forum” (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”, “Rare Cancer Support Forum”, “https://rare-cancer.org/forum”), you agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms then please do not access and/or use “Rare Cancer Support Forum”. We may change these at any time, therefore it would be prudent to review this agreement regularly, as your continued usage of “Rare Cancer Support Forum”after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these updated and/or amended terms.
YOU AGREE:
1: That you are a rare cancer or tumor patient; or child, spouse, sibling, parent, personal (live-in) caregiver of a patient.
2: That you will post an introduction to your private forums, within the first 7 days of your membership, to remain active. Invactive members will be removed.
3: To allow your e-mail address to be utilized by the forum moderators to contact you for forum modification purposes and distribution of Forum Newsletters. If you have a spam blocker on your email account, you must make sure that rare-cancer.org is added to your allowed email domains.
4: To be bound by the information set forth in this document and the
Read Me First section of our forums (click on each topic title and review the content of each post). It is mandatory that you read this section, and agree to the content of all information posted there, before registering.
5: To not hold the forum or website administrators liable for any generally objectionable material. While the administrator of this forum will attempt to remove these types of posts, it is impossible to review every message. If you find a particular post offensive, please contact the Administrator of this forum.
6: To keep all information you read on this forum confidential. Please review our Forum Copyright Statement and Privacy Statement. Do not reproduce or quote any information posted on the forums without written permission from the Post Author and the Forum Administrator.
7: To not hold the administrators, moderators, or webmaster legally liable for any information, content, views, or opinions stated in any post. PLEASE review all information you find on this website and forum with your medical professionals.
8: To not advertise any commercial enterprise or product, or refer members to any other online support forum, email list, or group within your posts or profile. Doing either will lead to your immediate and permanent removal. I can appreciate that you feel other groups are beneficial to you, and I hope that you have joined our Forums to build them into an equally useful community.
9: To not post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented content or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.
10: To allow the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they deem this action appropriate.
11: To have the information you have entered on this forum stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent; the webmaster, administrator, and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. We have taken every precaution available to us so that this may be avoided.
12: To allow the forum software to store a cookie on your computer. This is necessary to allow multiple users access, security, and privacy while using the forum.

14: As a user you agree to any information you have entered and your IP address being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither “Rare Cancer Support Forum” nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
